Enjoyed some time with the grandbabes yesterday!  After lunch we had a mini Easter egg hunt for them!  They are both growing so quickly!!

Time Marches On

A friend and I were chatting last night about how quickly time seems to fly by.  I remember my parents making comments about time going by faster the older they were.  Our son and I chatted about the same subject last night ... how much his life has changed in the past 8 years!  He's now a husband and a daddy, living a very different life than he had imagined.  To hear the words he spoke ("it is fun" - referring to the kiddos) and "I am happy" made my heart smile!

Speaking of time marching on - I cannot believe our granddaughter is growing so quickly!  I feel blessed to able to capture the days, months and years through my scrapbooking!!

Another vintage photo that makes my heart warm to have in my stash.

My Dad, home on furlough from serving in World War II.  I wish now that I'd have asked more questions and taken down notes when we talked of the time he spent in the war.

I am so happy I have so many vintage family photos to scrap!  Thankfully, my mom wrote on the backs of many of them!  I do wish I knew more family history than I do ...  I wish I'd have taken notes when I talked to Dad and Mom about their families years ago.

Dreaming of Hawaii

Even though it hasn't been too bad of a winter here, I am ready for green grass, birds chirping, blue sky and SPRING!!  

A friend of mine just returned from a vacation in Hawaii, and we were talking about what a different world it feels like there.  Life just seems a bit slower ... and the stunning beauty that surrounds the islands is really hard to describe! 

Since I'm dreaming of nice warm weather, I thought I would go through some of the 100's of photos I took when we visited Kauai a few years ago and share my favorites with you today.  Aloha!!  And enjoy these beautiful views!!

It had been raining on the island for weeks, so the waterfalls we saw during the helicopter ride were plentiful

I hope we have another opportunity to enjoy the beautiful island of Kauai, but there is so much to see in the USA ... I'm not sure we will make it back ... but I am thankful for the memories of a week in heaven!!
